I haven't had much drive to get these on here for some reason. So I'm a little late with these. My Nikon was still out being cleaned so I had to use my p&s, that might have something to do with it. Schyler and I made these valentines for her classmates. We had fun doing these together. Mike saw this cupcake puppy and wanted to get it for Schyler. She LOVED it. She loved it so much she didn't want to eat it LOL!

POTD - 2/12/08 - Love
So I'm still cameraless. I'm repeating from yesterday and just showing a few of the free templates I got over the last month.
I need to verify something from yesterday's post. I apologize for misleading everyone, I received those templates free from both ladies through Props, not their blogs. Unfortunately, you have to be a member there to get them. I'm sorry about that!
I can't remember who made this one, but I love how elegant it is.
This was a freebie from the Pay It Forward blog. I purposely left his name off, I guess I could have used a fake name though.

POTD - 2/11/08 - LOVE
Here I go cheatin' again! I finally sent my camera out to be cleaned so I'm out of commission for a week. I wanted to participate today and show some of the awesome valentine templates I've collected over the last month!
This one was designed by Claudine Jackson. I love the retro simplicity of this one.

This one was designed by one of my favorites, Sarah Ulrich. Isn't it the cutest thing? She has some amazing stuff and most of the time she just gives it away! I do believe her blog is on the list of blogs I visit. The name of her blog is Uniquely You.
26 Things Scavenger Hunt - #14, #24, #19 & #26
I have 4 more done. This list is actually pretty tough when trying to think outside the box. Schyler got a new hair do. DH decided instead of sending Schyler's locks of love to the organization that maybe he would use it for himself.

POTD - Aperture - 2/6/08
First I want to thank everyone for all the sweet responses the last few days!! So much appreciated.
Ok, I'm cheating! I didn't take this today, obviously as you can see the green grass. I thought it was a good example for the theme. I took this shot for my photography class with Wendy Schultz and she loved it! I stepped out of the box here . . . LOL. I don't like to draw attention to myself while taking photos, but for this one I layed down on the ground in front of a bunch of parents to get the shot.
What do you think? CC away!Nikon D70s - Manual - ISO400 - 1/400 - f/4

POTD - Aperture - 2/5/08
This is just a sample of what aperture can do. It was storming. I was sitting in my car waiting to get through the City on my way home from work. I had a bus in front of me and I decided to take a shot of the snow piled on the hood of my car and at the same time I wanted to get a neat effect of the lights with a wider aperture. The yellow, orange and red are the lights on the back of a bus.

POTD - 2/4/08
Schyler has been wanting to get her hair cut, so today we went to the salon. She wanted the photo on the right of this book. The hairstylist measured her hair and said she could donate 6" to Locks of Love. As you can see, her hair is much shorter than the photo. She didn't actually explain that until after she cut!
Anyway after a few tears, I explained that once we got home and could style it, she would like it. As you can see with the smile, she's happy now.
Because her arms were up on this shot, it caused a red kind of shadow on her neck. It actually looks like a rash, but it's not. Is there a way to fix that without having to clone? I tried cloning and made it worse.

I wish I would have had her turn her head towards the window a little more. The light would have hit her other eye where her nose dips (learned that during Wendy's class) of course I didn't bother to do it!
26 Things Scavenger Hunt - #4 & #8
I'm hoping this time I'll complete one of these challenges. I'm trying to think outside of the box and the list is pretty tough for that. I saw this sign when I went to get take-out at a very popular greek restaurant. I thought it was perfect for coming and going. I had to shoot through my windshield and in between windshield wiper swipes. We were having a really bad storm on Friday. This was Schyler. She went ahead of us when we were snowshoeing and reached the top of the hill quite a while before we did.
